It’s bad enough that the politicians in Dover want to pass de facto registration bills like House Bill 35 or confiscation bills like House Bill 88 . . .
. . . but now they’re messing with our kids.
House Bill 67 is up for a vote today in the Dover House of Representatives and needs to be stopped.
It will render all of our teachers, administrators, students and even parents completely defenseless if some madman with a gun busts into a school.
The only relevant part of the bill synopsis reads:
“The Act will ban the possession of firearms in schools and on school property. Possession of a Firearm or Destructive Weapon in a Safe School Zone will be a Class D felony.”
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that a Class D felony isn’t going to do a bit of good in the heat of chaos.
Do these politicians actually believe that passing a law to create “Safe School Zones” will do anything to stop another school shooting?
Parents dropping their kids off at school should not be made vulnerable to the whims of a madman in the next car that pulls up that morning.
This bill will mandate that parents, administrators, and teachers be defenseless, unable to protect themselves and our children when they need it most.
But that’s exactly what our Representatives may be voting for today, unless you call and stop them.
And don’t assume that your Representative is planning to do the right thing.
House Bill 88 passed two days ago by a vote of 40 YES and only 1 NO.
It’s mind-blowing what bad votes these politicians are capable of making.
Call your Representatives NOW and tell them to VOTE NO on House Bill 67:
Tell them that their vote will be remembered at election time next year.
This is also not a Democrat vs. Republican issue. So far in these attacks against our natural right to self-defense, we’ve found traitors on both sides of the aisle.
In fact, it’s starting to get tough to tell that there are any sides at all at the Capitol, including certain gun groups.
Groups like ours see the common sense of it all.
Unfortunately, there are powerful special interests involved that take your money, and then make deals.
While we’re holding a strong line against these bills, certain powerful lobbyist types are attacking us directly, calling names and making threats like a bunch of tribal terrorists.
They don’t like the fact that we don’t adhere to their compromise strategy. Unfortunately, that strategy hasn’t worked so well for the last couple of decades.
Bleeding out liberty a quart at a time every few years is no way to fight for your rights, let alone get any back.
And let’s be honest, exactly when was the last time we got any liberties back that were previously lost?
That strategy certainly does one thing well, though: make everyone involved come out looking good when the dust clears.
They all shake hands and pat each other on the back.
Meanwhile, you and I are another step closer to a gun free society.
So here’s where the rubber hits the road. You and I are either serious about our gun rights or not.
We don’t need compromising lobbyists and weak-kneed politicians stepping in front of us, assuming that their deals are acceptable because they slapped on a few amendments.
Grassroots citizens can make that determination and we’re tired of their “slow bleed” theory.
The answer from First State Liberty to the Markell Gun Grab this year is a resounding: “NO” and “NO DEALS”.
Please join us in standing strong for our God-given rights.

P.S. Please contribute anything you can to help us hold the hard line against gun grab legislation.
Your contributions go directly to LOCAL action to inflict political pain on these politicians.
It’s the only thing that steers them to vote the right way.
And don’t forget to tell your Representative to VOTE NO on House Bill 67 today!
